Prayojan ("the app") is a YouTube video discovery and playback app. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and your choices.

Summary

• No account, sign-up, or login is required.
• No personal information (name, email, location, contacts, device ID) is collected.
• No advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs are included.
• Everything the app stores stays on your device. The only data sent over the network are the search keywords you provide and the requests needed to find and play YouTube videos.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, in app-private storage (Android's built-in app backup may also carry these files if backup is enabled on your device):

• Interests — the topic keywords you add to personalise your feed.
• Watch history — IDs and titles of videos you have watched.
• Saved videos — videos you bookmark.
• Settings — maximum video duration and the adult-content filter toggle.
• Local debug log — a technical log used for troubleshooting. It may contain your search keywords and error details. It never leaves the device and can be cleared from the app.

Information sent over the network

To show videos, the app sends your interest keywords as search queries to third-party services:

• Piped instances — video search results.
• YouTube / Google — Shorts search results, video thumbnails, and video playback through the embedded YouTube player.
• Invidious instances — an age-restriction check per video when the adult-content filter is enabled.

These services may log your IP address and the query text according to their own privacy policies. In particular, video playback and thumbnails are served by YouTube, which is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube's Terms of Service.

No personal identifiers are attached to these requests. The app does not transmit your watch history, saved list, or settings to any server.

Permissions explained

• Internet — required to search for and stream videos. This is the only permission the app requests.
• Picture-in-Picture — lets video keep playing in a floating window while you use other apps. Not a permission; no off-screen/background audio is supported.

Data retention and deletion

All data is stored only on your device and kept until you delete it. You can clear watch history and interests inside the app (Interests tab → "Clear Watch History" / clear interests). Uninstalling removes the app's private storage. If Android's backup is enabled on your device, a copy may be restored by the OS on reinstall; manage or delete app backups in your device's backup settings.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. An optional adult-content filter is available in settings.

Changes to this policy

Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
